You can usually move in right after the contract is signed and the first payment is completed. You receive your access card, lock the unit with your own padlock, and from that moment you can start loading and arranging your belongings whenever it suits you.

You must not store perishable food, live animals, explosive, flammable or toxic substances, fuel, chemicals, weapons, ammunition, or any items that have come into your possession illegally. Any object that could create a fire, safety or health risk is strictly prohibited in the storage unit.

If prohibited items are stored in the unit, it counts as a serious violation of the rules and safety regulations. In such cases, the storage provider is entitled to take immediate action to eliminate the risk and terminate the rental agreement, and any costs arising from this (such as removal, disposal or safety interventions) are borne by the tenant who broke the rules.

The purpose of these measures is not punishment for its own sake, but to ensure that everyone can keep their belongings safe and that the building and other storage units remain secure and compliant with fire, safety and legal requirements.
